Arethousa

Sometimes it's more than "just a shoe":

It's the story behind it...

Arethousa, the name given to the sandals, was a beautiful nymph around the Greek iles.

As most nymphs she was happy combing her hair and being beautiful:
Ofcourse, Greek myths are always compiled with drama, tragedy & metamorphoses:

Rivergod Alpheios, quite frisky and being into the mortal species, thought that Arethousa was a fine lady. Her affection wasn't returned so she fled away from him.

She went to the protector of women: Goddess Diana who turned her into a spring of water.

Ofcourse, the river-god Alpheios was as smart to do the same, and they mingle for times and times...
Ancient Greek Sandals have become quite popular these days and you can get them from various resources. I ordered them from their own site (here) as you have the most choice in finish and details:
Arethousa: platinum & black soles
I was slightly afraid I wouldn't cope with the toe-sandals, but they are actually quite comfortable.
As for these? They mingle quite well with my Zara sarong trousers ;)
Have a splendid weekend!
