Seldom I have seen such a spellbinding combination between fashion couture and art at the Alaïa exhibition in Groningen. I probably have too many words and even more photos for it, but I will leave you with this impression of a genius...

I am completely floored after seeing Alaïa's expertise in real life. I couldn't leave the museum without buying my first Alaïa in the form of the silver-croc book. I must have looked like a fetishist when I felt up the book in front of the women of the store. Then again, I think Alaïa wouldn't mind me appreciating his genius by the manner of touch.
