Then there are the classics that are not just clichés...Paris, for example...or the Colloseum in Rome. And sometimes you might not 'get it' either: perhaps you have to get older 'n wiser or you just couldn't care less about the #mostphotographed in the world.
In any case, it's your experience which can be a pleasure or maybe a disapointment. As long as you watch your wallet not being taken by those pesky pickpockets..
Clichè or not clichè, I would like to be there right now!!
ReplyDeleteclassics are classics for a good reason :)
DeleteI have a lot of facebook friends banned from my newsfeed due to that kind of posts...or crossfit ones, or showing their abs in a bathroom selfie, or food plates...ugh..what's happening to the world? it's all so narcissistic, shallow, superficial, show-off...why?? what's the point on that?
ReplyDelete...in any case..like you say..it is "your" experience, a personal one.. do the best to enjoy it!
happy weekend!
So true! I'm glad you took the guts to screen/ban your Facebook post. There's still a world to be found by hashtags only if you skip on the #blonde #brunettishredhead #blueeyesgreenishandsomebrownspecs #abs #Iwannashowoffmyboobsbutpretentitsanormalselfie and go for #streetart #cosmopolitan or #artistic . We have this amazing commercial in Holland where this bearded guy with a blonde wig imitates the young girls by duckfacing, twirling etc: so true and hilarious at the same time.
Deletehahaha that commercial sounds funny... and yes... those damn hashtags are another annoying matter...what's happening to the world?/...glad to see a there are still a few like us :) ...those that don't give into that silly stuff
DeleteHa, it's still nice to travel ! But it's funny how we all value different things. Like I personnally lose my mind when I don't travel for too long. But some people really don't care about travelling at all. So they don't eel jealous nor offended, they just look indifferent.
ReplyDeleteHowever all the social media make us look a lot like giants caricatures, sometimes it's OK to take a break
