It was fun wearing this set in public: I though it would not have any effect because my leather pants have zero and my shorter leather skirts just a tad because they don't look that leather-skirt-like. I think it must be the idea of the hip-hugging shape. I actually got a man following me a bit when I had this on and some women stared at me, and Utrecht is rather progressive. I gave the man my 'what the F* are you doing'-face and he dashed off.
I actually bought a kick-ass lipstick a la Charlene from Stutt who does this style so gorgeously so you can actually see I'm wearing it. I also have a fringe: I might dye it darker to get the mysterious brunette effect.
I like polka dots and last year I saw some snippets of Yayoi Kusama's work at the Tate Liverpool. Her larger exhibition will move to New York next month but more interesting for the fashion crowd and accessory lovers is her collaboration with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton (more info)
