Biarritz

Expectations can be both fun and limited. I decided I would not have too many going to Biarritz, as I often been to places hyped as 'surfers' paradise' or 'hippy heaven', only to find a whole bunch of wannabe's hanging out without having real surf or hippy connectation. Somewhat Baudrillard's idea of the simulacrum has gone massively large these days, and I see it both in tourism and, ofcourse, the way people profile themselves on the internet.

Shortly, there was little surf to be found in Biarritz but I enjoyed the haute and not-too-haute public and beach a lot. The cemetry you've already seen here, and the beachbums being haute in the air, but not so haute (or hot?) property to portray over here.
