Knee *Hugging* boots

Boots: Esprit | Jeans: Asos (similar here & here) | Clutch: Primark (similar) | Sweater: Iris and Ink (similar & Miu Miu on sale) | bracelet: Monica Vinader Fiji | Bracelet: Lux Divine | Nails: Barry M Gelly Pomegranate | Lips: YSL RougeVernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain 26 Violine Surrealiste

Before buying these boots I had my doubts...I neither wanted to look too tarty nor that I would get the 'my thighs look fat'-idea. Then again, my inspirations varied from dare-cat Puss in Boots to the glorious warrior babe Barbarella, and some films as well.

Thus, dressing it up with demure patterns like houndstooth & a sweet pink cashmere sweater gives it nice appeal. Also, sorry about devoring the clutch: d I told you I was channeling the cat and it looked like a juicy bird ; ).

'Barbarella': nice way to hunt at other planets (?)
Jane Fonda got some typecasting after Barbarella, eg Metzengerstein also being booted (then she got into aerobics)

"yeap! Actually, Dia de Muertos is way a bigger thing in t he south of Mexico than in the north, I used to live in Baja California (born and raised) and they never do anything there about Dia de Muertos.. it's an ancient mexican costume best kept in the center and southern states.. so I'm looking forward to celebrating it this year in Tulum :) "
