Today's lust-have

Diamonds are a girl's best friend so why not combine a friendship bracelet with some semi-affordable diamond sparklies from Monica Vinader.

Vanity Friday

Nails-that-match-the-bracelet
Continuing last friday's session of photobooth pictures in the name of vanity, I want to declare a tag towards 'vanity friday'. Truth is, some people like to label me as tomboy or in Dutch "stoer" but I am actually quite into grooming etc. Nevertheless, I always notice girls who do label themselves as tomboy to be impeccably made-up too and having perfect hair, so perhaps that's what it can imply as well: the groomed tomboy. Sort of Lipstick-lesbian label without actually being lesbian? Might be.

So it's nails today. I have a bit of a hand/nails complex because they are not my prettiest feature but I overcame that inferiority complex-part and thought they deserved a matching polish to my Balenciaga bracelet. The Balenciaga has been this years Valentine's gift (belated).

Ps: do you consider the 'tomboy'-label to be a form of trend? What about the 'real' tomboys: or, can you be a real tomboy when you spend at least 1 hour on hair/makeup/etc each day, or is wearing Isabel Marant and some wedged sneakers enough these days?

Ps 2: Happy International's Women's day for all women whether Tomboy, girly girl, unlabeled, groomed, Mothers, Fashiongirls, etc.

New in: Balenciaga cruise

Before fashiongenius Ghesquière is about to leave Balenciaga, I decided to snap up something I can (somewhat) afford from the Cruise 2013 collection. My very first Balenciaga!

The cruise collection represented a pearly pink, this metallic cool brown above, a (unmetallic) red and black. It was the gold that made me go this colour instead of the metallic pink, as that one only comes in silver.

I kinda have a lame 'variety' with my last "new in"s only being bracelets, but that is my momentary fetish product...

New: Measured Goods

My latest accessory has a hint towards the constant idea of being measured up...

In fashion there is the turn-around idea of Hans from Hans & Gretel being measured by the witch whether he is fat enough, which fashion and most of our Western societal values has reversed into being measured whether you're skinny enough...

Anyway, I love Monserrat de Lucca's quirky jewelleries and I've showcased the skinny bunny before (here) and I couldn't pass up this bracelet during the shopbop sale a while ago.

New in: Don't Worry...

Belated Birthday Present

available *here*

Originally I planned to go for a Hermès bracelet in July around my birthday. I'm happy I didn't because otherwise I would have picked the Hermès émail Click Clack, which, considering I hardly use my cuff-like bracelets, would not have been the best option.

So the title: it's called the Behapi single tour, and in a far far past there was this song called "don't worry, be happy", a good reminder not too fret about things too much. I love the fact my initial letter is connected to such a high status brand *points nose in the air*. I like its bicoloured versatility, making it optional to alter between the white in more summery settings and the brown for a neutral and chic hint of braceleticity. And for a Hermès it's actually one of the cheaper items, so I'm basically the cheapskate of Hermès today.

2nd Winner AnnaDellaRusso bracelet!

Surprise: I didn't buy one snake, but gotten two...and because I want to reward more of my commentors I have drawn another winner:

It's the incredibly talented Rox the Fox!
I couldn't agree more on the dissapointment of fall-hues after this SS12 of an explosion of colours, and if you see RoxtheFox blog *here* you will know that she is all about colour and fashionable beauty.

Rox, I'll email you about the details for sending it!

Giveaway: Anna della Russo for H&M

I'm going to leave the apple for what it is, and venture into slithering decadence by giving away one Anna Della Russo for H&M Snake bracelet. Vice and wisdom has never been more tempting...

My reasons for giving this precious away:

Simply a egocentrical reason for finally reaching the 100 mark of followers and getting the 'stamp of approval' for a semi-serious blog. I kinda grew with this blog and I just want more followers without having to ask if they'd like to: I just give stuff away, total bribe-hood!

Also, I can be nice person and I actually feel that I got a couple of fine things from the Anna Della Russo collection of the level of what the word 'exuberance' cannot even contain, I'll decide to send it to a fashion-addict and possibly a AdR-fan instead of back to the H&M.

What to do?
  1. Follow
And without the promise that I return the favour (I'm already giving you a great shot winning something). Google friends only: I am not a fan of bloglovin and let's not talk about twitter.

    2. Answer this question:

When would you plan to wear this for the first time?
(answering this question is not giving you a better chance to win, but I'm just curious and I don't want the giveaway be too easy on you)

The giveaway will be going on until the 21st of October, 12.00 PM CET
winner will be drawn by random.org

Please add your email-adress for contacting you.

(all right, have fun trying to win..)

Something simple, I bought another House of Harlow bangle to play a couple with my dark green one I have since 2010.

The Sale Whisperer (whispers Givenchy)

I have absolutely no experience with this store but BagFetish site PurseForum seem to know them and find them dependable: Lindenstore (Italy) is having a presale of 30% off their collection with code presale30

Willpower Willpower....

Some alluring picks:
Obsedia Key Ring (normally € 83,49)
The Iconic Obsedia Logo for setting babysteps into the Givenchy brand...

Givenchy Pandora Document Holder (AD=After Discount €129. 60)
The posh way to save your grocery store coupons and receipts...

Givenchy IPad Holder
My quirky Hula Doll post already said something using laptop/ipad holders as clutches. And this is a more high-end version than that cheapy Topshop floral thing I have. Basically, you could tote around a leather Givenchy 'clutch' for about € 140 after discount.

Givenchy Flower printed tee (AD €268)
That t-shirt looks boxy enough for men to wear it as well.

Obsedia Leather bracelet (also in other colours)
So gorgeous, and a tougher variety on the sophisticated Hermes leather-wrap bracelets.

And now it's gets to my high-fetish territory: Bags
Antigona Canvas Tote
Digital print and totally on trend SS 2012.

Leather Antigona Shopper (BD € 767.14/AD €537 )
In classic hues...

Small Antigona in cream
Total baggasm & my wishlist since December 2011. I tried it on it in London over here..

Large Nightingale

THE Classic: also slightly slouchy for that tomboy allure...

They have other brands too, like Haider Ackermann and Guiseppe Zanotti, but the Givenchy's had the highest appeal on me.

I feel slightly guilty by enabling and announcing this sale but I'd probably  feel like a fraud not announcing this sale to the fashionable ones that sometimes stumble upon my blog either.
