a Bikini a Day keeps the Doctor away

Bodytalk:
Recently I've discussed the idea of selfies with some friends. Personally I tried to make faceselfies, but I prefer bodyselfies. This is where the feminists step in for the fact I might be "sexualizing my body by showing it bikini-clad online" but who are they to judge? Sometimes, a pouty/boobtastic faceselfie has more erotic value than the one I showed above.

This autocam-selfie is to celebrate the strenght & femininity of my body. It also shows pride in the effort of working-out. But most of all, it embraces the idea of portraying a body that falls out of the boundaries of either being either young, flawlessly pretty or superskinny. This is a body that has had some mileage but is able to climb rocks, swim unapologetically in a rough ocean, and can eat a good amount of healthy food. Because a body that takes care of its owner does deserve food and not starvation! So who can tell us our body is not perfect like the skinny models when we might be better off with our healthier ones in the long run?

In this sense, perfection is what you decides it is, not anyone's else perfection.

Today's lust-have

Diamonds are a girl's best friend so why not combine a friendship bracelet with some semi-affordable diamond sparklies from Monica Vinader.

Beach-instas

Last week turned out to be unexpectedly summery. That meant I got scarf-spiration from the girl left/above. Also some bohemian earrings that I can still rock for Autumn with some caramel tones.

You guys know I have some hips (see previous outfitted), so I have fed them again with a hearty burrito: If not baked too fatty, it can often be a better way of nutrition than a salad.

Talking about non-fatty: I spotted a professional shoot at the beach. The model turned her gaze to me instead of the cameraman for a while: I'm flattered, because he's better looking than I and has bigger camera tools. Ofcourse, I had a cuter bikini on.

Playa del Mamey

I couldn't resist stopping at this beach when cruising around in Matanzas, Northen Cuba. My reggaeton playlist often talks about Mamy's and I think I have a slight idea that they are not mother figures. Although my Latino spanish is still not that good. I'm still not really tanned here: nevertheless, pale girls have gotten more fashionable since styleicons like theblondesalad.

A butterfly maxidress: I always love the opportunity to dress up more feminine on holidays as it suits my personality more. Holland is lovely, but sometimes cold and unpractical for being continuously dressed in a dress. I hope my hips will ward off any rumours of me not being born as a woman, although Simone de Beauvoir would say: "one is not born a woman, one becomes one".

Outfit- Silk Butterfly Dress: Warehouse | Sandals: Topshop | Bracelet: Balenciaga in Lagon | Watch: O'Clock

Sormiou

Summer 2012
Sormiou has been one of the Calangues around Marseille I visited this summer: gorgeous, reminding me of the French Caribbean with the kaleidoscope of turquoise hues of the sea.

It was quite difficult to get access to this little bay. French people will say "Pfff, it'zz not difficulte" when they know some English, or a stream of words I haven't gotten in my highschool French classes. But when they say that you bet it's going to be impossibly difficult!

My first time I blagged myself in: you have to reserve for the restaurant in Haute French to be let in by a sternlooking, goateed monsieur standing like a Royal Army defender by the gate. Somehow I managed to get accross that I would go to the restaurant and they let me in...

And then....BLISS by ocean water surrounded beautiful Elite French people

(yeh, I kinda miss this part of summer, so what do you miss?)

Beach-view

Biarritz has a popular beach, hence needs some beach-watchers to guard...and others take photos from the other side.

[forgive my lame sense of humour: it's friday, afterall!]

"Saut!": Cliffjumpers in Cassis (Fr) I

Disclaimer: The jumpers were fully aware being photographed and perhaps even showing off more for this reason. You know, male vanity ;)

After a couple of days on the French Countrysite I was ready to go to the coast again. I went to a couple of places, seen some Calangues, and ended up diving from high cliffs and making pictures of other divers too.

The Hague / Den Haag

It's no secret I like cities and I like the Hague. Often the main-City of a country gets a bit too overconfident. I'd used to like Amsterdam when I still had tons of friends there, but the last 5 years I have felt more meh to it. In that case visiting another city in a country has the potential to be inspiring as well, and often with a bit more friendliness and originality involved.

The Hague has the mix of elitism with more-down-to-earthness that attracts me. Also, the coast is quite near. Architecture is impressive & the museums are varied in having both intellectual value (Esher) to just incredibly cute (Madurodam).  The shops have lots: for the Elite crowd there are some excellent speciality shops but Zara is there as well. And I adore Massimo Dutti: the ones in Spain are a bit too far away for me at the time being so it's The Hague in Holland for my Massimo Dutti fix.

Dutch Beach

Scheveningen (Nino)

Holland has a long coast and there is bound to be a part that is suitable for everyone's beachy preference (sporty, trendy, food-y, surf-like or lazy). The only thing that has to cooperate is good weather and not too many people on the road or trains that want to go there.
