LFW: #trending Streetstyles

1. head-deco:

Caps, hats, cowboy/girl, head-jewellery and Prada headbands...LFW channeled their inner Kate Middleton, John Wayne or Bollywood Starlet.

2. Cobalt blues:

Cobalt was the shade of blue to be seen in.

3. Neo-Childhood:

Maturity is overrated...pompoms, my little Pony hair & Bigbird shirts were the way to go.

4. Leather Jackets:

 The quintessential fashion-staple.

5. Soft Pinks:

5. Camera women:

Not just to be seen, but to see as well

6. Tartan

No highlands nor clans were needed to wear this trend.

7. Mirror-wear:
Shimmering fabrics in either metallic, foils or patent-like.

8. Dandy Women:
A hint of a suit, some brocade: women were channeling their inner Dandy.

9. Dandy Men:
"Did someone transport Oscar Wilde into the 2013 century?"

10. Grey's revisited:

combined with large stripes, polkadots or checks.

Candy Bikers

Better weather is finally kicking in Holland, and all the sorbet Gelatos & icecreams got me craving for a candy coloured biker jacket.

Some of these selections are totally "in-yer-dreams" as the pricetag goes, but a bit of fantasy is never too bad.

As celeb inspiration I have Balenciaga Muse Kirsten Stewart (when Ghesquiere was still their designer)  who normally goes for black but actually looks fresh in this hue.
For real fashion-lovers: If you like to know why Ghesquiere really left Balenciaga, then this article has an reveiling interview with him.

Have a wonderful week and I'll keep you posted!

I make a point...

I'd stumbled upon these perfect black & pointed minimalistic flats with a quirky detail of transparent plastic stroke.  Can you believe they are real leather and the transparent feels comfortable too? All under a mere  €55 over here.

Time is on our Side

Suede Coat: Pepe Jeans (similar here, cute vintage in burgundy here, really expensive one here )][ Scarf: Missioni (in pink here) ][ Skirt: COS (worn before here) ][ Booties: Topshop ][ Gloves: Bijenkorf (similar) ][ Scarf head: Vintage ][ Bag: Michelle Franz

I seem to wear a lot of leather and some faux-leathers during winter, not just this one. Only I tend not to go for the on-trend gothic-or-dominatrix black but with the more Bohemian browns. Or, they are not really Bohemian but that's how I wear them. Perhaps a good suede coat has that Bohemian vibe going on, kinda 1970s Mick Jagger's girlfriends. There were those glamour pusses such as Bianca Jagger & Jerry Hall (also Carla Bruni did some nookie with him according rumours before Sarkosy-ing up). However, I love Marianne Faithful looks...

Haven't we seen fur-coats around?? Marianne Faithfull being the original, more info here
Pepe Jeans (the coat I'm wearing) actually has Edie Campbell as their recent face who really has this Faithfull idea going on.

Something cool about having a fringe/bangs as well: I wish I had a longer forehead for those.

And sorry about my poopy quality of photos: I have this ongoing disfunctional email relation with the Canon Helpservice with the sole-and-only purpose getting it fixed or a new one. It has already been send back to me with the same defect as before, only 2 MONTHS later! I think I will try to buy a non-Canon camera soon, so I'd love to here what kind of cameras everyone uses and why it works for them!

(Title inspired by Rolling Stones song listen *here*)

New in: Balenciaga cruise

Before fashiongenius Ghesquière is about to leave Balenciaga, I decided to snap up something I can (somewhat) afford from the Cruise 2013 collection. My very first Balenciaga!

The cruise collection represented a pearly pink, this metallic cool brown above, a (unmetallic) red and black. It was the gold that made me go this colour instead of the metallic pink, as that one only comes in silver.

I kinda have a lame 'variety' with my last "new in"s only being bracelets, but that is my momentary fetish product...

New in: Don't Worry...

Belated Birthday Present

available *here*

Originally I planned to go for a Hermès bracelet in July around my birthday. I'm happy I didn't because otherwise I would have picked the Hermès émail Click Clack, which, considering I hardly use my cuff-like bracelets, would not have been the best option.

So the title: it's called the Behapi single tour, and in a far far past there was this song called "don't worry, be happy", a good reminder not too fret about things too much. I love the fact my initial letter is connected to such a high status brand *points nose in the air*. I like its bicoloured versatility, making it optional to alter between the white in more summery settings and the brown for a neutral and chic hint of braceleticity. And for a Hermès it's actually one of the cheaper items, so I'm basically the cheapskate of Hermès today.
