Splurge or Steal

Now we're officially being exhausted from the Fashionweeks -> time to digest the trends. For this season there's the return to the sixties. The Fashionforward ones probably have been either wowed or gotten slightly nauseous of Moschino's Barbie Kitch SS 15. Either way, both skirts will inject a hint of the 1960s and a beginning dose of sugary pink into your dressing. And you've just been embracing Tomboy-healthy aesthetics, right?

On the left is the affordable Topshop version under €50, and if you actually have Barbie legs you might wanna signal 'hands off' and get the quirky Opening Ceremony one on the right.

Dar[l]ing Dutch

Bag: Chloe Marcie | Coat: Asos (similar) | sweater: Forever 21 | Trousers: & Other Stories | Shoes: Zara (similar)
Who said darlings can't be daring?
I wanted have some typically Dutch landscape so I gotten into the polder for this one.

The outfit looks kinda confused bohemian: all of these new pastels and revisited ethnic patterns. I look like my mum in the 70s...or my dad could have worn these trousers too. Often children have something of both so that figures :).
Have a superb weekend

LFW: #trending Streetstyles

1. head-deco:

Caps, hats, cowboy/girl, head-jewellery and Prada headbands...LFW channeled their inner Kate Middleton, John Wayne or Bollywood Starlet.

2. Cobalt blues:

Cobalt was the shade of blue to be seen in.

3. Neo-Childhood:

Maturity is overrated...pompoms, my little Pony hair & Bigbird shirts were the way to go.

4. Leather Jackets:

 The quintessential fashion-staple.

5. Soft Pinks:

5. Camera women:

Not just to be seen, but to see as well

6. Tartan

No highlands nor clans were needed to wear this trend.

7. Mirror-wear:
Shimmering fabrics in either metallic, foils or patent-like.

8. Dandy Women:
A hint of a suit, some brocade: women were channeling their inner Dandy.

9. Dandy Men:
"Did someone transport Oscar Wilde into the 2013 century?"

10. Grey's revisited:

combined with large stripes, polkadots or checks.

Polished Pinks

*Not all pinks are alike*

Pinks are not that easy to mix-n-match like the greys, blues or reds. But if you like some colour-clashing, try some uncoordinating combination of various pinks ◕‿◕

Wishlist: Tiny Bags

Clockwise left: Reed Krakoff Standard mini Leather ][ Chloë Marcie Small ][ Yves Saint Laurent Belle Du Jour Clutch ][ Miu Miu Leather Drawstring bag ][ See By Chloë Poya

It must have something to do with enjoying my smaller Jerome Dreyfuss a lot, and wanting to try a new brand. Cheating somewhat because I already own a Chloë and because I love it I'd (mini)splurge again.

I'm a bit contra-trend because there's nothing Cameo, Gothic leather, or other AW 2012 trends going on, but I love the fresh femininity of these colours.

Zero-Love

Outfit: Leather skirt : Vanessa Bruno, Mesh jacket (ph 3,4): Alexander Wang, Silk Blouse: Zara, Bag: Jerome Dreyfuss Twee Mini mesh (other colours here and here), Wedges: Topshop, Neon Pink knee socks: American Apparel, Headband: Pucci,  Pink cuff (right): Unearthed, Bracelet Mesh (left): ThiefandBandid,  beach tennis set: similar.

I thought it was time to play a game of tennis á la Mlle W-style. I  mixed up this quirky outfit with the Olympics of 2012 and the sportswear trend in mind with neon kneesocks, a leather skater's skirt, an Alexander Wang mesh jacket, and ofcourse that Zara blouse that I have been altering by taking the studded collar off.

Words in Pink

Or...the uncouth pink from the Alice in Wonderland exhibition in the Tate Liverpool (X-rated )
