I've heard it through the Grapevine
I still had this promise of posting something, so there you go. This blog is for expressing my travel-lust so I think it's a part of liking to share as well.
And for the other small-town girls around, it is sometimes lonely when nobody recognizes your wonderful clothes. Mayby you guys will :). In my case I wore this Equipment dress, My Chloe mini Marcie, Greek-Sandals gladiators and my Dolce & Gabanna sunglasses.
I went to the South of France after two years and I stuck to the coast this time. This whimsical little grapevine vineyard has been the producer of a more elite wine being served at haute classe L'Orangerie at the St. Tropez coast: Chateau de Pamplonne.
Ramatuelle, the St. Tropez beach, was more casual than I expected. I'm slightly spoiled, though. I went to a couple of beach-etablissements, like the infamous Club 55: can you believe they charge you similar price on a seat at the front of the beach than Holland??? But Holland is weirdly expensive on it's space: try parking in Amsterdam under €5 for under an hour. I'll write more on that soon enough :)

Admiring not-so-secretly: Miu Miu
Prada's little sister has been ticking the right boxes between classically chic, quirky cool and adorably cute for ss '14. They score the highest mark on my 'not so secret' crush radar with their mixture of biker textures, a newer matelasse paddiness and the gorgeous infusion of a hot red...So can I just have their whole collection?

(almost) Famous...?
I made this photo during LFW this September and I had not put it up until now. Reason, my photoskills were not fantastic for this photo. Nevertheless I like the deceptive simplicity of the outfit: it looks effortless but is actually quite high-maintainance.
The actual reason I put this one up is that she looks famous or somewhere I've seen before. Does anyone know?

LFW: Sarah (Framboise Fashion)
There's one thing when people suddenly gather around a person and exclaim "oh, I love her blog so much" and actually being impressed by someone's aura. This happened when I spotted Sarah from FramboiseFashion.com on sunday: she was having the perfect straight-volumised blowdryed tresses and the most gorgeous pinky hued combination on.Monday she sported the brick-jeans tomboy look and i? Her aura and her spontaneity! This radiates in each and every combination and the tomboy look with the opposite hair of her saturday-do proves that she has the enigma to make the camera turn to her.

Destination Sunny: Meditteranean Sail
1. Hermès Carré | 2. Chanel SS13 |3. Zara LRD with boatneck | 4. Miss Selfridge Anchor bikini | 5. & Other Stories Clutch | 6. Hermes Chain d'ancre (=anchor chain) | 7. Joaquim Ferrer Raffia Wedge | 8. Chanel Pirate | 9. Loly in the Sky Loafers
Holiday season is around the corner so I'm making a series of "destination sunny": that's because I had too many bikinis for one set ;)
This set is foor the ones lucky to have:
1. a boat
2. a boat other than the air-blown ones
3. a licence to harbour your boat in Medittereanean harbours
4. Friends who have 1-3 and you're invited!!
5. an immense fantasy to rock this look at your local seaspot with some fries & beer instead of caviar & champagne.
6. Just like red a lot!
Destination Sunny: Ibiza
Less bikinis and more sequins. More is definitely more on Ibiza.
You will be needing your Sin Tshirt to spell it out! The A-morir Shades to give some extra blinding against the oh so brutal sun after a night of party. The sequins bumbag is to get extra kitch, because Kitch is the new Chic. And you could not be bothered with holding any purse so at least the money/keys/lipstick were strapped against your body.
Superbright Lipstick? Nars Schiap is there! A bodycon, sequinned, multicoloured dress because Ibiza is no place for wallflowers. A couple of sequinned harems, because they are called Pacha already so you might get a discount on that superexpensive entry ticket.
Ah sun? Right...Good you packed your Running Horses Bikini. You only wear espadrilles when they have Kate's face on it! Gianvito Rossi hologram shoes because they are chic enough for a fancier dinner and perfect for clubbing too...
Ps: What destination are you really visiting this year?

The not so Secret Garden...
To finance my latest, lusthave item I had to find a job on the side
Eh, doesn't make sense, right?
I first felt like a snob touching the broom.
However, I must have been a witch in a past life so I started to have fun in it.
However, I must have been a witch in a past life so I started to have fun in it.
I flirted a bit with the newspaper guy who gave me a Vogue for free (don't tell door no 26!)
But he had to go to work...
Hence, I went for some table tennis:

Ok, more table than tennis...
Then there was nothing more to do than pose in the greenhouse:
Practicing my best duckface...
Somehow, I wasn't asked to return for the job...

Prada, Duty Free
I'm often slightly nostalgic when I reach the Duty Free shopping part of airports: pricewise, in the (older) days there truly was a difference between normal shops and the shops over there, so the reward of waiting for going on vacations was even more anticipated.
These Prada's were the ones I fancied earlier online, and trying them on before jetting off gotten me into pre-internet bonzanza of shop-pleasure.
I love a classic Havana tortoise style, and the sophisticated pink inside inside makes it quirky with a hint of fashionality. Moreover, I always love a butterfly shape for it's feminine & old-school effect on my facial frame.

GGGhetto
1. Boombox Weekend Bag 2 A-Morir Roth sunglasses 3. Gang chick earrings
Jazz... 4. Early NYC subway graffiti book 5. Poetry t-shirt 6. Cap
Fashion you wouldn't see me wearing in this lifetime, however, fun to see on others.
(University has gotten me slightly political correct and hesitant to use the term Ghetto Chic. Hence, I'll compensate by linking to this article *here* for a bit more info on the term and it's slightly incorrect value)

1950s Housewife ft. the Carven Top
![]() |
| Top: Carven, Skirt: Zara, Shoes: Topshop, Bracelet: belt by Primark; Cos & House of Harlow. Leather Cuff (alos in 1st pic: Marni), Sunglasses: Spitfire Weekend , Bag: vintage |
![]() |
| Same as before |
I found it fitting to leave the curlers in for the idea of the housewife in her holiday cabin getting ready to socialize. To upp the 50s kitch factor I picked plastic Ikea cups in a bright colour for the Tupperware factor.
Sharp eyes will see I am missing one shoe, ;D, resulting into a weird cinderella-effect. Well, if my character 'the 50s housewife' has been on her cocktails, she must be slightly drunk, hence missing her shoe. In real life I have a pair: who needs a prince to bring back her shoes anyway?
Oh, I bought this skirt this winter and I was totally worried I wouldn't fit it anymore: I gained some weight because I had been on the verge of depression. Good thing the skirt still fits!
(PS: no real alcohol was used during this shoot: only a virgin mango/orange blend for vitamine C)
PS 2: I'm on a sale-announcing roll. If you like to try the Carven brand (or another fave of mine, Vanesso Bruno) you could head to mywardrobe.com as they have a secret-insiders sale going on right now of 40% all this season with MYSALEPREVIEW122 which makes this top below just €51.57 instead of the normal €130:
