5. Cuba is dance! on the beach as well
6. Latina photographer in a red maxidress

9. Chloƫ Marcie meets up with (kitch) cuddle
10. Lobster! I'm all about fresh seafood

Gosh, too many (insta)pictures and I only made this small selection. I think my themes are beach, dance, pastel, taxis and food...Perhaps that's why I started to call it Cuba Dulce (sweet Cuba), like a sweet sugarrush of it all.

#Chinatown #Havana

I am working on a compilation of the Insta/Iphone photos of my adventurous trip to Cuba, but for the moment I will post up this impression of Chinatown in Havana.

Horsing Around

Cuba still works with horses and carts at some places. The Spanish word "coche" usually means "car", but means  "horse & cart" in Cuba; for a normal car they have the word "carro".

I don't think this handsome fellow cares what it's called: he simply has to work as a real working horse does.

Playa del Mamey

I couldn't resist stopping at this beach when cruising around in Matanzas, Northen Cuba. My reggaeton playlist often talks about Mamy's and I think I have a slight idea that they are not mother figures. Although my Latino spanish is still not that good. I'm still not really tanned here: nevertheless, pale girls have gotten more fashionable since styleicons like theblondesalad.

A butterfly maxidress: I always love the opportunity to dress up more feminine on holidays as it suits my personality more. Holland is lovely, but sometimes cold and unpractical for being continuously dressed in a dress. I hope my hips will ward off any rumours of me not being born as a woman, although Simone de Beauvoir would say: "one is not born a woman, one becomes one".

Havana

Cuba has been really high on my traveller's wishlist since I was really young: my curiosity towards a stubborn country against the odds and such a world-power as a neighbour (the US) spoke to my imagination.

So why now after all this time? Cheap travel opportunity by probably the same capitalist structure older Cuba would frown upon, however, I took my opportunity and visited it for a reasonable price.

Havana was beautiful but also slightly polluted, and, when not seen through tourists eyes, sometimes melancholic too. This picture has been taken at Havana harbour and I wear an older H&M maxidress, a newer Chloe Marcie bag in poppy (here) and some Ancient Greek Sandals (here), and...ofcourse, my Balanciaga bracelet. My sunnies were a dead-ringer for Miu Miu, only copycatted by ASOS (here).

The animated effect is one of the features of my Nikon D5100. I still have to play with it to get more expertise on the field of photography: I prefer to be behind the lens than before it, though.
