Ruffled up

1. LBD | 2. Necklace | 3. Strapless | 4. Clutch | 5. Heels | 6. Matelassé | 7. Louboutins

There's something about ruffles. Ruffles spell out a certain class and complexity that make it perfect for the Holiday Season. Something far beyond the normcore that has been around lately; or actually making a big effort for the ones you love or want to impress...

Admiring not-so-secretly: Miu Miu

Prada's little sister has been ticking the right boxes between classically chic, quirky cool and adorably cute for ss '14. They score the highest mark on my 'not so secret' crush radar with their mixture of biker textures, a newer matelasse paddiness and the gorgeous infusion of a hot red...So can I just have their whole collection?

Polished Pinks

*Not all pinks are alike*

Pinks are not that easy to mix-n-match like the greys, blues or reds. But if you like some colour-clashing, try some uncoordinating combination of various pinks ◕‿◕

Magic Word

I stood no chance with this sale: I'm totally head-over-heels (about the heels)

Future Lovers

✓ perfect turquoise hue

✓ Jimmy Choo-like

✓ Zara price (because they are)

✓ Real suede

✓ Height, without platforms

✓ So good with a tan

All right, these aren't the most weather appropriate righ not, but I needed a fantasy purchase to cope with the fact the only feminine shoes I can wear are wedges (**snow**)

Season Jumpsuits

1. Miss Selfridge (also in pink) 2. Jimmy Choo clutch 3. Gina Melosi Ring 4. Ted Baker 5. Alexander McQueen Demantia Clutch 6. RRRHEA cuff  7. BCBGMaxAzria jumpsuit 8. Aurélie Bidermann cuff 9. Vanessa Bruno silk jumpsuit 10. Dolce Vita Lace playsuit 11. Sophia Webster heels 12. Fendi Fan di Fendi  13. Valentino pumps

This week I tried on a Ted Baker jumpsuit after not having jumpsuited  for a while (is that an actual verb? it is now!). I love it's quirkiness against the backdrop of the sea of LBDs, and there are some sensual varieties out there too. Personally, I love the intricate design of the MCBGMaxAzria (7) as it has colour-block versatility in the right neutrals and textures, and a similar back-detail as the front panelling. I also adore no 12, the little Fan di Fendi as the all-rounder accessory for both cooler Season Sets as the warmer ones.

Outfitted 4 VFN NL

[Recreated outfit]
I felt like leaning on my basics instead of going too fash.

So I ended up with wearing my Helmut Lang dress with a leather studded wrapbelt. The obi-leather belt has been spotted for AW12 so I'm not that far off.

Not really visible are my Office Kickass heels; genuine leather that look like the Louboutin Chiarianas that were sold out when I wanted them: these are cheaper anyway and I worry less with being active and possibly damaging them than with Loubous. (They come in snake as well)
