Shorty gone Autumn

Hat: Bijenkorf  | Scarf: & Other Stories | Shorts: H&M  | Bag: Chloe mini Marcie (similar colour) |  Leather Jacket: in red | Leather top: Topshop (similar) | Shoes: COS (similar) | lipstick: Chanel Rouge Allure Coromandel

I have cowgirled into Autumn with a couple of newbie thingies inspired by London Fashion Week:

a. the scarf inspired by the chic mum (here
b. Cowgirl-hat inspired by Ms. Pink Coat (here)
c. fierce leather jacket inspired by everyone-has-one

I couldn't be bothered posing too pretty girl because my horse would have left me...Not really, but I was thinking about that cowgirl film 'Bandidas' with Salma Hayeck and Penelope Cruz. Anyway, it's about taking your own twist with trends...

*Of being Age-Inappropriate*

Sweater: COS (similar) | jeans: Paige  Jeans '12 (other print)| shirtdress: Equipment (similar) | Brogues: ASOS | socks: Primark | Skippyball: snagged borrowed from little girl; no I actually bought one for excercise | Wrapwatch: Liberty (coral one) | Bracelets: Italian shop | bag: old Topshop (nude one)| earrings: &Other Stories

I gotten into the thing that gotten my blog on the radar: bizarre-ish photography and quirky outfits. This time for a reason as I love graffiti and I wanted to match its alluring brightness/madness. Skippy-balling is probably the uncoolest thing on a skate-ramp but no soul was present on this -visibly- rainy morning.

Sometimes I complain about not having a photographer but I actually like the randomness of self-photography. It a semi post-Modern Warholian photoboot-experience. In the smaller, bouncing photo I exactly reached the height of the man's mouth, making me some weird orange snack...That's timing!

Collar me...please

I've gotten into this whole "girls who wanna be boys...boys who wanna be girls"  structure (again), and then there is Bowie who is getting some FAB credits again.

Believe me, I might not be the youngest blogger on the blog but even I was too young to experience David Bowie. I saw this "who the fuck is Mick Jagger" t-shirt (here) and I wouldn't know either if my parents weren't too music-addicted and the tunes of "I can't get noooo...satisfaction" seeped into my infant brain.

OK, David Bowie...His latest video features a very Dolled-up Tilda Swinton, voodoo-esque interference of a younger generation, massive copycat-ting, and...tadaah, the collar by Bjorg
jewellery ♥.
Androgyne meetup with collar

I always like to see who the big stars are attracted to. Bowie was rumoured to be bisexual. He chosen Iman with killer cheekbones and supermodel gorgeousness to be his wife.
Iman (Bowie's wife)

Here is the couple together in Cape town...I cannot get over the bodylanguage of the two:
from Thatbowiegirl Tumblr (here)
It's the fact that normally the woman takes the limelight of the photo and is the one who flirts the most with the camera: dear Mr. Bowie is like "All eyes on me, people"

That's enough chat for today as an alternative to the feed of Paris fashion Week...Enjoy the last week of the fashionweeks sessions!

Tan

*some things look better with a tan*

Even though I love statement hues, I consider tan to be a classic and of a similar value as black can offer in the field of sophistication.

Or, I simply ♥ these pieces.

Tartanic

tartan jacket: Topshop (similar) ][ brocade & frill skirt: Zara ][ Tights: Caldizoni (IT) ][ Shoes: Kurt Geiger ][ necklace: vintage ][ turtleneck top: Zara ][ bucketbag (left on ph.): COS

Yet another case of "why doesn't the camera focus when I look reasonable?" but it's listed to be repared so hopefully it will be doing it's job soon. I'm normally legs-together-tidy but I picked this pose because it had this androgyne Scottish rock-girl vibe going on; therefore I left the pose slightly upfront.

Heart is a Dancer

Dress: Topshop '10 - Shoes; DiCapolavori - Striped top: COS

My love to dance! and the way this dress reflects the rapid movement of twirling..Photographing it (and me) in this museum it captured it's Alice-in-Wonderland mood. Surrounded by weird Phallic & childlike shapes I totally blend into the artistic weirdness!

Fast photos, because it was prohibited to take them...running away with the camera and changing back into my more demure Marni for H&M...

I brought flowers to a wall

I needed a different wall for the outfitted photography:
cute new wall? Not sure
wall approved? Meh, it competes with my blouse
ok, I like this wall but gonna go back to my regular wall
arm-fiesta: just a tiny party
Floral Silk Trousers -Steven Alan (cute one here, here & here) │ teal suede jacket (ph 3-4) - Essentiel Antwerp (similar) │ Pastel yellow blouse - gift from friend (cute one here) │ brogued heels - COS │ Resin necklace (originally a belt) - H&M │ Sunglasses - Rayban Jackie Ohhwrap watch - Liberty │ Rubber Bangle - Marc Jacobs │ pastel yellow bangle - ? │ Spiral green bracelet - COS │ Swarowski bracelet - DIY (!) │ Bi-stone ring - etsy (similar

The first full-on floral trousers I bought were a super-moment: It was during the Paris Fashionweek and the trend hadn't really appeared on the Dutch streets yet. Floral trousers are more common now and I brought them out this saturday for a stroll on the Fabric market in Utrecht. I actually got a compliment that they were "cool" and where I bought the fabric and how I made it. Uhuh, I had to admit I am not that experted on the DIY front and that they were from Theoutnet. But the girl and mother who complimented me were even more motivated to buy a bold-floral piece of fabric and make a jumpsuit: that's so lovely!

Nautical

Outfit: Wedges: Topshop Wizzkid, Dress: New Look, Hat: Primark. Bangles: Cos, Bag: Chanel (closer over here). Bangle polkadot: unkown

It seems so long ago since the weather was on the tropical side but it has only been four weeks. I miss the warmer weather so I put this up. Although I like the current trends going on, I always enjoy wearing the classics in an updated way.

Americana Busstop

Outfit: leather pants: Rag & Bone (my post), Blouse: Equipment Diem tie-front in orchid (another colour here), Primark floral belt (cute ones here), Zara top, Bangles: COS (2 square ones), Watch: Liberty wrap watch, Earrings: Gorjana Fairytale, Clutch: Topshop, Shoes: COS heeled brogues, Leather jacket (ph. 2): Gooseberry,

It's a kind of a good-girl-gone-bad theme today but still with a hint of good girl. My inspiration came from the fantastic posts of the many talented fashionbloggers I read frequently. Actually, I was a black leather peplum top from H&M on a blog which spelled out total good-girl/bad-girl confusion. So I brought that to this post with mixing two contrasting textures, colours & clothing concepts together.

I feel leather pants brings out the melancholic in me:  Somehow I cannot imagine being a happy, cheerleader-esque person in leather pants because of the 'cool girl'  aura it has. Perhaps if leather pants would come in peach, lilac & baby blue tones? As for crop-tops, they are actually quite 'cheerleader'. I actually like this season's crop-top & bralet trends! I wore them a lot in my teens! But there comes the issue of being age-appropriate!  So I tied my Equipment blouse above the waist, but kept a darker, matching top underneath to keep it age-appropriate or not so bare.

Antigona, Strollin' around

The photos might be edited with Cinerama, but I'm just the supporting actress:
My Givenchy Antigona is the real St✰r here

Outfit: Bag: Givenchy Antigone small (bagporn-post here & hot lipstick red one preorder here or larger sizes here and here), shoes: Chloë Buckle , Skinny jeans: DL1960 Angel in Icing, Top: M Missioni, Suede bolero Jacket: Selected Femme, Belt: COS, ,  Necklace: Monserrat de Luca , Bangles: COS. Earrings: Gorjana Fairytale. Nails: Essie Russian Roulette

Last week I received my Givenchy Antigona and I could 'air' her in the late afternoon in a pictoresque urban setting. It is a smaller bag, or it said picollo on the bill, but precisely what I anticipated for. It has a sturdy structure reminiscent of old school doctor's bags which makes it perfect for stronger Mlles like I am.

I love my new Choë's and they walk quite easily for a higher heel. As for the DL1960 Angel skinny: I don't like them so much and I call them my mum's jeans. Seriously, my other pricy skinnies like Paige are much more subtle in hiding my female puppy fat and look more expensive too..I love the 'Icing' colour, though, not too pastel but different enough from being a standard jeansy colour. I have them since February, btw.

Pinocchia ft Bleached Denim Jacket

  A Modern Fairytale

 now Pinnocchia feels sexy...

and will shake her hair forever and ever and ever...

and nobody will ever see if Pinocchia lied about something or anything

Outfit: Denim Jacket: Topshop (similar here), Silver Skirt: Whyred top worn (& torn) as skirt (real skirts here), Denim & Raffia shoes: Topshop (not similar but raffia wedges here) . Embellished Collar: COS similar here, bra: Oysho (similar here), Bracelet: etsy.

Disclaimer: No real nosejobs have been performed before/during/after this shoot. Pinnocchia will share the nosy spotlight among women such as Cleopatra, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Florence Welch and our common-day Billionaress Giselle Bünchen.

Disclaimer 2: I've broken the "sophisticated women" rule by showing both cleavage AND legs. I don't dress up like that IRL but I needed to amp up the 'sexy' factor for the weird fairytale,

My inspiration:
